Counseling
Counseling provides a safe and supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am experienced in supporting those with a multitude of mental health concerns. At this time, counseling services are for residents of Texas only.
Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a collaborative process that helps individuals explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe, supportive environment. It’s designed to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work through challenges to improve your emotional well-being.
Individual Art Therapy
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative expression to support emotional healing and self-discovery. Through drawing, painting, and other art forms, client’s can explore feelings, reduce stress, and gain insight- no artistic skill required. It’s especially helpful when words alone aren’t enough.
Small Group Art Therapy
Small group art therapy combines the benefits of creative expression with the support of a group setting. Guided by a trained therapist, participants engage in art-making and shared reflection, fostering connection, self-awareness, and personal growth with a common goal (to process grief, connect around a unique experience, learn an art based coping skill, etc). It’s a powerful way to explore emotions, reduce isolation, and build community through creativity. Small group offerings will be announced as they become available.
My therapeutic approach:
I am so glad you’re here and that you took the first step to reach out. In our work together, I can collaborate with you in your goals which can include slowing down and turning inward, connecting to your self and identity, tapping into your creativity, identifying your needs, processing experiences of trauma, or whatever else is important to you. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with you on your journey in a safe and non-judgmental space as we uncover your innate power and most genuine self. My approach is creative, intentional, and flexible, and ultimately I am informed by what a client needs during each visit, guided by goals for treatment. You’re the expert and my role is merely as guide, collaborator, and confidant.
I utilize trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches and collaborate with you to curate a unique guide to treatment. In sessions with me, I can collaborate with you using individual or a combination of modalities including but not limited to Art Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), somatic body-based techniques, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) & Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed parts work, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, harm-reduction therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. I take a person-centered approach, feminist approach, relational approach, racially-informed approach, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Requested immigration mental health support letters will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. My services are offered in English and Spanish.
A few approaches I am informed by include but are not limited to Cultural-relational theories (guided by biopsychosocial and cultural influences), Social Identity theory, Trauma-informed care, Feminist therapy, Polyvagal theory, Neuropsychology, Mindfulness and Movement, Attachment theory, Intersectional, feminist-based psychotherapy, Developmental psychology, Person-centered approaches, Psychodynamic approaches, and racially-informed approaches to care.
I typically see clients who:
are English and Spanish speakers.
are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault (including but not limited to survivors of narcissistic abuse, religious and spiritual trauma, and adult and child sexual abuse) and are wanting to heal from past abuse (note: client’s must exhibit high internal sense of safety before booking)
are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community
experience mood disorders and difficulties such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.
experience emotional disturbance difficulties with complex trauma-related stressors and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
experience complex family dynamics.
want to explore self-identity, self-esteem, and self-advocacy.
experience immigration-specific trauma, third culture individuals, asylum-seekers.
look for support surrounding perinatal mental health (pregnancy, prenatal, birth, postpartum).
You are entitled to an affirming, safe, compassionate space and to work with someone who openly advocates for who you are. You deserve to live an authentic life, based on what matters to you. If all or any of this feels good to you, feel free to reach out to me for a free consultation call to explore if we may be a fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
